Spay and Neuter your animals – please
This was sent to me and it touched me. Does it make you think?
- For every child born there are 45 cats & dogs born.
- It costs U.S. taxpayers and estimated 2 billion each year to round up, house, kill and dispose of homeless animals.
- 450 dogs and cats (1 pet per 6.5 seconds) are destroyed each HOUR in the U.S., because there is not enough homes for them!
- In order for every dog & cat born to have a home, the average family of 4 would have to own 24 dogs and 36 cats.
- Please consider adopting a pet from a shelter instead of promoting “breeders” to produce more.
- Only 1 out of 10 dogs & 1 out of 12 cats born ever finds a permanent home.
Please spay and neuter your animal. For some it is a matter of life and death.
these numbers paint a pretty bleak picture of our culture. everyday when the evidence of our selfishness and ignorance slap me in the face, i can’t help to feel utter hopelessness and sadness. we are a cruel species.
