Contributors

It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute… that gives meaning to our lives. – Anthony Robbins

Every voice matters, every one has the ability to inspire others. Our Contributors are in the midst of the vegan evolution.  Some write, some cook, some bake, some create art or jewelry, some just have vegan opinions that they want to share.  Each of them brings something vital to the vegan movement, a voice.  Every person who raises their voice helps someone else who is afraid to.  Get loud, get proud, get active.

I’ll support you every step of the way.

Annalea Pippus holds degrees in psychology and law, and applies them both to the animal liberation movement as much as possible.  She adores plants and live animals.

Meet LJ Steinig:  “I’ve been called the Vegan Ambassador of South Beach, and I’m making it my mission to live up to that title. Vegan since February 2009, my passions include building vegan community, educating the public on nutrition, animal rights, and sustainability, and raising money for farm animal sanctuaries across the country. When I’m not busy wearing my “Vegan Ambassador” sash and tiara, I’m also a yogini, a writer, a teacher, a feminist, and an all around lover of life.”

Lizanna Pompa is a dedicated vegan. Unexpected vegetarian for seven years and determined vegan for six. Although she is on a plant-based diet, eats lots of grains and tries to eat as much raw, she has a fascination for potato chips. Spends most of her time working, commuting, traveling, dancing, cooking, blogging, practicing Bikram, spinning at the gym and enjoying dinner with friends accompanied by a nice bottle of red wine. In her blog, she primarily writes about food, recipes, favorite vegan restaurants in the city and travel destinations and extra randomness as “food for thought”. All in hopes of encouraging a vegan lifestyle.

Ann LaGoy, founder of Sound Earth, LLC, was prompted by chemical poisoning to develop a line of 100% natural cleaning products. She incorporated her love of animals into her company by maintaining that no animal tests or animal ingredients be used in the manufacturing or development of her product line. Ann advocates for the underdog (cat, cow, person, etc). Gaining more awareness in her travels she is happy to shed many unnecessary wastes, and live a healthier lifestyle in mind, body and soul. You’ll never be guessing what she thinks about chemicals, animals, eats and the travels of her companion dog Frank.

Currently employed in administrative work to pay the bills, Taryn spends her free time pursuing her passions – crafting, reading, volunteering, and helping others however she can to go vegan.

Brandon Hopkins is a college freshman in Lawrenceville, Georgia, having rebooted his life in more ways than one over the last few years. When he’s not pretending to pay attention in his classes, he can be heard ranting on his podcast or trying to sway the school’s dining services providers into carrying more vegan options. He enjoys writing, mopeds and cooking. His heart is as big as his mouth, though neither compares to his stomach.

Jennifer Baldock is an avid animal rights advocate and vegan. She is currently working hard on starting her own non-profit organization for the needed veterinary care, repairs, and food for any and every animal that needs assistance to stay in their loving homes or shelters. By taking part in community events, holding local fundraisers for shelters, and spreading the word about a healthy, vegan lifestyle, she is hoping one day the world will be a place that she knows she can help transform where animals are recognized as life rather than sustenance. Her entire life she has known that animals were her passion and her ability to convey a message modestly and compassionately about animal cruelty, testing on animals, slaughter houses, and the hidden issues that the public would otherwise not know about, has helped her gain her status as a voice for animals on Long Island.
