I wash my face every night using boring old soap and water. I use vitamin E oil at night, and then a ligth moisturizer with SPF 15 during the day. I’m addicted to mineral makeup, and am currently using ELF! LOVE IT!
Am a superbig fan of the Yes to Carrots/Cucumbers/Tomatoes line, which is endorsed by PETA as cruelty-free.
Particularly partial to the exfoliating cleanser (http://www.yestocarrots.com/?CategoryID=410), eye contour cream (http://www.yestocarrots.com/?CategoryID=409), hydrating lotion (http://www.yestocarrots.com/?CategoryID=412) and face mask (http://www.yestocarrots.com/?CategoryID=417).
Combined with a vegan diet, good hydration and lots of yoga, my skin looks great these days.
Bollocks. Sorry about the broken links. Damn parentheticals.
I use zia’s Ultimate Night Renewal
St. Ive’s Olive Cleanser & their
Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer
I alternate weekly between Freeman’s Avocado and Oatmeal Clay masque
and their papaya facial enzyme masque. =)
I had been a long time fan of Arbonne (a swiss vegan skin care line) intermixed with some Alba Organics products, but recently wanted to search for something that would help clear up blemishes (who would think I’d still be getting zits at age 29!!). I received a sample of Boscia facial cleanser from Sephora and loved it, so purchased their full sized clear skin line with willow bark. It’s working, clearing up my skin, and I LOVE the way my skin feels! They have plenty of great stuff for non-blemish-prone folks too. Boscia products are vegan, botanically based, preservative free, and working great for me. Check out the reviews on Sephora.com, you will see they have a huge following!
My skin routine is not very routine and is a bit on the cheap side. I often use coconut oil as both a make-up remover and a nighttime moisturizer. I also use Jason and Alba products as my daytime moisturizer. Right now for the daytime i’m using Alba’s Sea Moss Moisturizer and Jason Aloe Vera moisturizer and their Vitamin E moisturizer. Though, the aloe one makes my skin burn, so I probably wont get it again.
I haven’t found a perfect product yet for my sensitive skin and my small budget, but i’m still looking.
I wash my face when it feels sticky, use an apricot scrub everyonce in a blue moon if its feel particulary bad. (I stll have a bottle from a year ago) I get a little bit of sun, and adopt a vgean diet with no soda, and bam, crystal clear skin. Its something I like to brag about 8)
I cleanse am and pm with Juice Beauty Cleansing Gel, and have replaced all my other products (eye cream, serum, moisturizer, primer) with The Solution, by Envision Beauty. A bit of green clay + acv dabbed on the odd blemish, and that’s it! I am yet to find a satisfying sunscreen that’s vegan, non-sticky and doesn’t make my face shiny, though, so if anyone has any product they’d like to recommend, I’d love to hear about it!
It saying “Made without animal ingredients” at St. Ive’s website, but collagen only come from animals or humans.
See what’s in Wikipedia: “Recently an alternative to animal-derived collagen has become available. Although expensive, this human collagen, derived from donor cadavers, placentas and aborted fetuses, may minimize the possibility of immune reactions.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collagen)
It’s O.K that is not made without animals ingredients, but I don’t want any this human stuff in my skin as well.
My skin care routine is pretty simple – a gentle face wash followed by an energizing day moisturizer + SPF 70. At night I use the same face wash, followed by a night serum, a creamy nighttime moisturizer, and a shea butter eye cream. Sometimes I’ll dab on tea tree oil, which everyone knows is great for zits. I’m also trying to incorporate lavender oil to ease redness/inflammation in my skin, which a good friend recommended to me recently. Once a week I use an amazing scrub from AHAVA, a fabulous skincare company that makes products that aren’t tested on poor animals.
Although I use some non-vegan products (I know I know – but when they run out I’m going to try for all vegan!), I really love anything by Dr. Hauschka. Fair-trade and organic and wonderful! I only own a small tin of bath oils, but I’ve sampled their products in Whole Foods before. Plus, no animal testing. Another pseudo-local company (out of NH) is Badger, which makes organic products – I swear by their lip balms. They do not test on animals and I believe most products are vegan. I use Chai Rose lip balm, which leaves my lips smooth and silky! I like to dab it on a few times a day, especially at night before I go to sleep. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

I’ve been using Philosophy Purity cleanser, its creamy, lightly foamy, and cleans really well. I love it. I have a Clarisonic too, that also aids in cleaning and exfoliation.
Still searching for a good moisturizer though, I’ve heard great things about using pure jojoba oil, as it is very much like the oil that our skin naturally produces. Personally though, I need constant exfoliation, so anything with Glycolic acid (and vegan!) is a huge yes in my book.
I’ve also make/use handmade soap. Cold process soap, with additions of clays and essential oils that suit your skin type can be AMAZING!
I started using Earth Science clarifying facial cleanser earlier this year. It really helps to keep my skin happy and free of dry or oily patches for the most part, even when I’m under a ton of stress. After washing I always follow up with some Heritage Products rosewater & glycerine; it actually seems to work better than moisturizing face creams and whatnot. If my skin is particularly dry I use a bit of Beauty Without Cruelty unscented lotion.
I use Alba Botanica and Avalon Organics products. They’re inexpensive, widely available and vegan!
I would recommend the MADE FROM EARTH skincare line. They are 100% vegan and I have been using their products for 2 years now and I see a MAJOR difference on the wrinkles under my eyes.
you can find them at http://www.madefromearth.com
I agree with Maria
I bought the Made from Earth Rosehip Organic Face Serum (only $15 for organic rosehip!) because I am a vegetarian and I want to make sure I’m getting all the vitamins and minerals my skin need.
I saw a dramatic difference in skin tone after start using the Made from Earth Rosehip – it works perfectly with my skin type and I look great.
I use the Aveda Outer Peace skin care line. It is for acne prone skin and is make with plant based salicylic acid. I have very sensitive skin and this is just wonderful…does not dry me out! A little pricey though.
Bookmarked, don’t have time to ready more just now :D
