I have a confession to make, I’ve been keeping something from you.  But, good news!  After months of planning and hard work, it’s time to let you in on our secret…

We love change at Your Daily Vegan, especially when it’s in a good way.  So, I’m happy to report that we are in the process of building a brand-new, redesigned website.  And it’s gonna be big.

You’re going to start seeing a few changes here and there.  You might even catch some new bashful friends showing their faces around here (peaking out from a blue curtain maybe??).  As far as the new site itself, here’s a sneak peak at what you can expect…..

The Daily Vegan Spin will still be featured on our new site, but more of it.  We will also continue to yum it up with featured vegan recipes and restaurant reviews- with new areas for reader participation and submissions.  We also look forward to expanded event listings, shopping, and social networking opportunities.  An exciting new focus of YDV will be vegan education.  But no change is complete without a few surprises.  So, I’ll just stop here.  But it’s really exciting!  And I can’t wait for you to see it.

However, no big change is without sacrifice.  So, you will hear a little less from our big mouths during the next several weeks as we work behind the scenes to make YDV better.  When I say, “a little less,” what I mean to say is that some days there won’t be posting much more than the YDV Featured Links.

But, we’re not going on hiatus completely- just focusing more on new construction and less on blogging.  In the upcoming month, we will bring you a holiday giveaway, a live tweet-bake of some delightful holiday goodies, and who knows what else.  We’ll also be giving away some super secret details on the new site as it gets closer to the site re-launch over the next couple of weeks.  And you know you want in on those!

So, don’t go off and desert us if we’re not posting as much.  We’re working hard to bring you a better website- one that is fun, interactive, educational, useful, and that promotes veganism.  I hope you’ll stay with us, and even share your opinions with us.  Got great ideas?  Drop us a note in the comments.  I’d love to hear from you.
