How are we ever expected to really think about what we're putting into our bodies if we only spend the time making wisecracks about how the fish breed used for McBites must be “crappie” and likening Alaskan Pollock to a well-known painter using herring guts on canvas?
My personal policies on where I take my business are evolving... it's part of the vegan journey. The rise of purpose-based marketing reminds me that I must continue to question everything and consider more than just the images or phrases that are thrown in my face by an ad campaign.
Big business doesn't want its customers to think for themselves or to question their tactics. That would hurt the bottom line. They do their best to desensitize you and it starts when you're a child, that way your compassion can be stifled ASAP.
