We all could learn something from these two dogs. In fact, maybe we should.

First, I want to thank Creature Talk for finding and posting this video. It really moved me. If you haven’t gone to her site you must. It’s chock full of excellent vegan information. I highly recommend it.
So peeking around her site today I noticed a video about a dog being hit by a car. Now, before you get upset, the dog lives. Watch this….I’ll talk more about it in a minute…
The first thing that struck me (after I stopped weeping) was that the person who hit the dog did not stop. Did. Not. Stop. Neither did any of the other cars. I’m sorry, but busy road or not, I would have stopped. In an instant. Even if that meant I had to pull over to the side of the road and run like hell back to where that dog was.
The second thing is that non-human animals never cease to amaze me. Maybe the two dogs were traveling together, I don’t know. But the dog went back. The dog risked his/her life when the human would not. I suppose to give credit where credit is due, the construction workers finally noticed the dogs and went over to help.
Still, the dogs acted more humanely than the humans did (at first). And the human touts themselves as the superior species. But the non-humans prove over and over again how wrong we are. Mindy at Creature Talk is right. We all could learn something from these two dogs. In fact, maybe we should.
