This is heartbreaking.  Side note, please note the conditions and filth.  People, this should not be where you get your food.  Think about it. via 1347Love @ YouTube SharePinRedditTweet0 Shares

Yes, this is very sad. I’m sure even non-vegans can agree that animals should be slaughtered in as humane a way as possible. I just read about a “mobile slaughterhouse” which goes to the farm and kills one animal at a time – and doesn’t require the other doomed animals to be put in the position of this poor critter. Sure, it would be ideal if it didn’t happen at all but if it does, it should be more like that and less like this video. :-(

I made a video about animals in the meat industry which includes the above footage. It’s here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8y_DOSPyVA

Use it, pass it, spread it! I hope it changes some more minds…

I grew up in the country, on a small farm, so I know what it’s like to watch/see animals be killed for meat — but at the time, I was in NO position to declare that I no longer wanted to eat meat. And now that I’m grown and I’ve been out on my own for years and years, I’ve long since become a vegetarian and last year went vegan — but STILL I can not bring myself to watch these videos. I’m quite familiar with the torture the animals are put to and through, and I totally can not fathom how some people are able to watch them and still continue eating meat. I realize that it’s “to each his/her own” but still to see what actually happens to the animals and still be blasé enough to rationalize “Well, that can’t be how it was done where MY meat came from!” or some bs like that… it’s maddening…

I completely understand. The videos are often heart wrenching and hard to watch. Sometimes it’s hard for me to watch too. But most often I force myself to see. I think the videos are important to really see the animals as, well, animals. We are so far removed from our food it’s easy to see why people have a hard time having compassion for farm animals. We never see them. It’s a tough thing really. I never understood how someone can watch pain, suffering, fear or misery and not be affected by it. I don’t. My heart breaks for every animal that is slaughtered, abused, mistreated or who lives in fear or misery – how can others not?

Well, I will have to admit I didn’t watch the video. I am too scared to. I watched Meat Your Meat years ago and I was traumatized. I had already been vegan for years before when I watched it. So, I was just torturing myself.

Though, it worries me that people can watch these videos and not be affected. What kind of people are they, if it has no effect.

Wow this video was over whelming! How can you eat meat after watching this! It brought tears to my eyes. We don’t have eat meat to survive. Stop the practice of cruelty in your house! Become a VEGAN!.

I will never understand how non-vegans could nee videos like this without turning into vegans insteadly. Probably they shut their eyes and think about something else…
