Kate Beckinsale doesn’t like her puppy

If the pics don’t lie, then I fear it may be true- a little dog is living a torturous life at the hands of a hot celebrity.   Photographers made images of the little dog leashed in Kate Beckinsale’s car, with no apparent access to water- with the windows up- while Beckinsale was in a salon- for “hours.”  Beckinsale has also been caught by the camera’s lens dangling the same poor pup from the leash- several feet from the ground.

If I witnessed this, I would have done something, (I don’t want to say ‘clock her’ but…) like call the police.  And before I get a bunch of hate mail telling me that I’m “overreacting,” please keep in mind this, that animal could have died.  Plain and simple.  It doesn’t have to be summer for a car to become too hot for the animal.  Regardless of that, the animal was probably scared out of it’s mind.  You have a bunch of strange humans snapping pictures of the dog – I’m quite sure the pup didn’t realize what was happening.  And besides any of that, who takes their dog to a hair appointment?  Who does that?!

Oh, and here’s my open letter to Ms. Beckinsale:

Please note Ms. Beckinsale,

“Under California state law, pet owners who leave their animals unattended in a car can be charged with misdemeanor animal endangerment and face up to six months in jail. If the animal dies, the owner could be charged with felony animal cruelty and face up to three years in state prison…even on mildly warm days, when the temperature is 72 degrees or hotter outside, the temperature in a car can be over 100 degrees, causing severe injury and death to animals.”  Take some time to think before you leave little lives out in your car for hours without a way out.  Please and thank you.
