Ginnifer Goodwin is not only a great actress, but a vegan superstar. Ginnifer recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to chat about her show, Big Love. Here’s where the vegan superstar part comes in. While she was there she took some time to talk about working with Farm Sanctuary this past Thanksgiving, saying:
“I was the Turkey Ambassadress for Farm Sanctuary this past Thanksgiving. I was encouraging people to adopt a turkey rather than eat one — to sponsor a turkey…I adopted a flock…I mean they didn’t come home with me, that would be cruel. They are given beautiful, wonderful long lives on a sanctuary. They can run around and be pet by the guests who come tour the farm. They love being pet.”
Really, is there anything cooler than a celebrity using their celebrity to tout the plight of farmed animals? I think not.
We can all be vegan superstars by taking the time to speak up for farmed animals. You never know who’s life you may change or influence positively by talking up a compassionate lifestyle. So go on with your bad vegan self and get to chatting!
