Pure Vegan = Pure Awesome-ness

The philosophy is simple.  Respect for all beings.  I say it over and over again and Elizabeth Olsen agrees.  Elizabeth is the creator of OlsenHaus, a fabulous vegan shoe design house.  From their site:

Hell yeah! And this girl has some fashion experience too!  She’s worked in Malaysia, Italy, South America, Asia and Africa.  She was the Creative Director at Tommy Hilfiger and designed for giants like Calvin Klein, Bulga, Nine West and many others.  She’s also been the stylist for many print, ad-campaigns, commercials and films.  But the best part?  She’s been an advocate against the use of animals for food, clothing, experimentation, and entertainment, as well as for the environment and social justice for over 20 years!   She has been a vegetarian for 19 years and turned vegan 2 years ago.

Olsen takes vegan shoes to a new, and fashionable, level.  Gone are the days of clunky vegan shoes with little to no style.  I, for one, am grateful as I’ve been a shoe addict all of my life.

The website for OlsenHaus not only has awesome vegan shoes for your purchasing pleasure, it also has this.  This is what Elizabeth calls “What the Industry doesn’t want you to know” and I think it’s one of the best pages I’ve seen to date.  It is a very realistic look at what it takes to make a pair of shoes.  You know the ones I’m talking about.  The leather ones, with trims ect.?  Yeah, those.

So go and check out the site and drool over all those pretty shoes.  As for me, well, I’ve begun a love affair with these.  So….uh……you know if you wanted to get me a present….well….um….I’m a size 6 shoe……. and those would totally rock!
