If you live in Tennessee don’t miss your chance to learn how to cook with soy. Sassy VEG Productions is presenting their first vegan cooking class, appropriately called ‘Joy of Soy’, on Saturday, June 13th from 4 – 6 pm. You can catch this class at The Discovery Center in Murfreesboro.
This is the first class in a series of vegan cooking classes that Sassy VEG will present. Subsequent classes will be held twice a month at the Center from now until the end of the year.
Class participants will taste each of the dishes from the menu, which includes: Creamy Herbed Dressing, Curried Tempeh Salad, Stuffed Pasta Shells, and Chocolate Cashew Cream Pie. In addition, they will receive an information packet that includes all the recipes, and additional information on the proteins and other ingredients used.
Sharon Jacks, Founding Partner and Lead Instructor for Sassy VEG Productions, says that the “goal…is to demonstrate creative and delicious ways that everyone can incorporate the healthful and affordable protein source of soy into their meals.”
And I think that’s awesome. But this kind of awesome in one space is limited to 15 people in the class. To reserve a seat (tuition is pre-paid) send a check for $35, payable to Sharon Jacks, to the address listed below.
Sharon Jacks, 115 Lilac Court, Murfressboro, Tennessee
The Discovery Center is located at 502 SE Broad Street, Murfreesboro.
