It’s only 9 days away

The Farm Sanctuary Walk for Farm Animals is nine days away and YDV is taking part. But we still need you to make it a success. We're looking for supporters to sponsor us in the walk. Could that be you?

What's in this post

The Farm Sanctuary Walk for Farm Animals is heading my way in nine days.  I’m very excited to take part in the walk, I believe strongly in the work that the organization does.  Not only that, I’m sure to meet fellow vegans.  I mean, in person.  That’s super exciting.  We will be joining thousands of compassionate folks all across the country who will be raising awareness about the realities of factory farming.  It’s our goal to generate much needed funds for Farm Sanctuary’s extremely important rescue, education, and advocacy work.  Wanna join us?

There are tons of Walks already planned all over the country.  You can check to see if there is a walk in your area at walkforfarmanimals.org.  If you don’t see a walk in your area coordinate one!  Farm Sanctuary is looking for volunteers to coordinate Walks nationwide.  For more information, contact the national Walk coordinator at walk (at) farmsanctuary.org or 607-583-2225 ext 283.

Can’t walk?  Please consider donating to support the cause.  With your help, the 2009 Walk could be the most successful yet, sending a powerful message of change and hope.  And it’s time for a powerful message, don’t you think?  I certainly do.  The walk in my area is nine days away and I need some supporters.  I would appreciate any help that comes our way.  Please go to our Firstgiving Donation Page to read more and, if you can, donate to this very worth cause.

Farm Sanctuary is the nation’s leading farm animal protection organization. Since incorporating in 1986, Farm Sanctuary has worked to expose and stop cruel practices of the “food animal” industry through research and investigations, legal and institutional reforms, public awareness projects, youth education, and direct rescue and refuge efforts. Farm Sanctuary shelters in Watkins Glen, New York, and Orland, Calif., provide lifelong care for hundreds of rescued animals, who have become ambassadors for farm animals everywhere by educating visitors about the realities of factory farming.
