Magical.

“After hearing what insider’s have had to say about Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s wedding this weekend, we can really only think of one weird to describe it:  Magical!”

He goes on…

“And as for that rumor that Nicole’s papa Lionel Richie had an elephant brought in for the ceremony, we’re told that it’s absolutely TRUE! It was apparently a huge surprise for his little girl!”

I’m wagering that it was a huge (scary, confusing, frightening) surprise for the elephant too.

Did you know that only three species of elephant are living today?  Only three.  They are: the African bush elephant, the African forest elephant, and the Asian elephant.  All other species of elephants are extinct.  So that means an elephant attending celebrity weddings in Los Angeles, California is far, far away from it’s natural home- doing things that an elephant was never meant to do.

Elephants are the largest land animals now living.  The gestation period is 22 months, the longest of any land animal.  They can live for 50-70 years- 50-70 years. That’s a long time.  And, according to Wikipedia, “healthy adult elephants have no natural predators (although lions may take calves or weak individuals).  They are, however, threatened by human intrusion and poaching.”

Human intrusion.  Threatened.  Not, “magical.”
