I would like to hear more about Raw Vegans. I have been thinking about eating more raw vegan foods and less pre-packaged vegan foods; I don’t see much articles on the Internet about it. It’s like the next step to take in veganism. There should be more news on that as the names get confusing like raw vegans, herbivores, fruitarians, sproutarians, etc. all are similar I think except a raw vegan also of course doesn’t wear or use animals in any way–I’m not sure the others are that way by definition, as well.
Alicia made the statement in US Magazine in 2010 here:
Maybe she no longer eats dairy on occasion now but I haven’t heard any news otherwise.

Agreed.
I now tend to say “so what?” when I hear a celeb has become vegan because as we know, they tend to remain vegan for about 10 minutes anyway; they treat it like it’s a fad they have to endure for awhile because it’s good publicity and you know how celebs LOVE publicity…I’m sure their handlers suggest they be vegan for awhile to make news. I’ve read reports where several long time so-called “vegans”..well..aren’t vegan. They have been known to indulge in animal flesh and/or dairy during the holidays or at parties, like Alicia Silverstone.
I guess I can say ‘don’t get me started’ when it comes to veganism as it relates to celebs–Haha

Lorrie, Thanks for the comment! The part that’s so bizarre to me is that “news” sites actually promote these stories as NEWS. I mean, yikes! Have we run out of vegan topics to discuss that we’re resorting to what a non-vegan celebrity ate one time? I hadn’t heard that about Alicia Silverstone though, that sounds disappointing.
