I don’t know about you, but I rarely crave a protein bar.  Oh, I eat them sometimes- life is busy these days after all, but I rarely crave them.  You know what some protein bars can be like- hard and metallic tasting or sweet filled with a date/nut combo.  I’ve had some good protein bars and I’ve had terrible ones, but this is the first time I’ve had one that tasted like this.

YogaEarth’s Keen-Wah Decadence bars are just that, decadent.  They’re rich.  Sweet and crunchy, theses bars come in three flavor profiles: Cayenne Cinnamon, Coconut Almond, and Chocolate Chia.  Each bar is coated in a malty dark chocolate.  They’re delicious.

If I was ever going to crave a protein bar, this would probably be the one to crave.

Aside from the taste, these bars are packed full of protein, phytonutrients, and healthy oils with star foods like quinoa, chia, coconut, almonds.  They’re made with 100% organic ingredients, plus they’re GMO & gluten-free.

I tried bites from all three bars.  Hands down, the cayenne cinnamon one was my favorite.  It’s a flavor profile I love and use frequently in my own cooking so it didn’t surprise me that it was my favorite.  I liked the crunchy quinoa in the bars and was happy it wasn’t made from soy.  These contain brown rice protein, which I could taste in the bar.  It wasn’t unpleasant necessarily, I could just taste it.  The chocolate on the bars is malt-y and nice, but it melts in your hands quickly creating messy choco-hands.  Which, now that I think about it, is a plus.  Who wouldn’t want choco-hands?

So, YogaEarth’s Keen-Wah Decadence Bars are a nutritious protein bar that masquerades itself like a treat that I could crave, but couldn’t eat without getting some choco-hands.  Overall, good stuff.
