PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Eats Chicken

PETA is at it once again, naming their yearly male and female celebrity to receive the honor of sexiest celebrity vegetarian. This year, the “award” had two special aspects of it. One, it went out to a couple, fiancés Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Shepard honorably declined the flattering honor. Why? This brings me to the other special aspect. Shepard is not only not vegan, he isn’t even vegetarian!! PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Eats Chicken! Shepard, who tweeted that he aspired to be more like Bell, had been vegan for about a year but stopped 6 months ago.

Although it is nice to have role models, this is exactly a reason why celebrities should not be glorified because they decide to eat more carrots. Don’t get me wrong, I applaud anyone’s effort in going vegan, but not as a trend. I cannot comprehend how one of the top go-to veggie organizations missed this which makes me question how they compile their info. At least Shepard came clean, stating, “I’m really flattered to be named ‘Sexiest Vegetarian’ with @IMKristenBell, but sadly I can’t accept in good conscience because I eat chicken.”
