Love is…

Rearranging your house so that the dachshund has a pillow/dog bed/blanket to lay on in a sun spot - regardless if it is in the middle of the floor where you can trip over her or not. Crazy is when you spend five minutes trying to get said dachshund to open her eyes for a picture by crawling all over the floor and baby talking.  Smart is when the dachshund ignores you until you reach for a treat (even though she just had breakfast) so that she'll pose for a picture, only to find out that the dachshund cunningly eats the treat without opening her eyes.  Dejected is when you realize that she isn't going to pose.  Rejected is when you realize that she doesn't care about you at all while there is sun around.  And finally, shame is when you are dominated by a 8lb dachshund and you share [...]

Shut up ABC, just shut up.

Who are these knuckleheads over at ABC's Good Morning America?  They have produced a piece titled 'A promising new drug to control obesity and diabetes is in the works'.  The video shows a graphic of a syringe sticking out of a rat's back.  Yes.  The "scientists" are "testing" the drug on rats- not on the humans who are supposedly going to use it. A few interesting quotes from their story: (paraphrased) "Science is about to help you lose weight without drastic diet or punishing exercise" ~ He's basically saying we're all stupid and lazy.  Please tell me why a healthy, natural diet is drastic.  If one ate healthy, one could get by with exercise that's fun. "Americans dream of a quick fix to lose weight" ~ We're stupid and lazy again. "New drug suppresses appetite and increases metabolism" ~ This is an unnatural state.  This is what they're doing to [...]

Extremely well put.

I couldn't have said it better myself so I'm not even going to add anything to it.  Just go and read it for yourself. What’s Extreme? Well, How Much Is Ten Billion? Go vegan.

Your Daily Vegan "WTF" moment…

According to the Associated Press, a New York City teenager has admitted that she did not take a kitten out of the oven after a friend put it there.  The animal roasted to death. 17-year-old Cheyenne Cherry pleaded guilty on Wednesday to charges of animal cruelty and attempted burglary.  The New York authorities said that Cherry and her 14-year-old friend "ransacked a Bronx apartment before putting the cat in the oven."  The kitten, a baby, cried and scratched in total terror to get out before dying the agonizing death. Animal Activists were waiting outside the courtroom for Cherry on Wednesday.  Not deterred, Cherry stuck out her tongue and told the activists that the kitten, named Tiger Lily, was "dead".  Cherry will serve a year in jail under a plea bargain and the 14-year-old accomplice was charged with aggravated animal cruelty and burglary. This sickens me.  Compassion is not an inherited [...]
