Rearranging your house so that the dachshund has a pillow/dog bed/blanket to lay on in a sun spot - regardless if it is in the middle of the floor where you can trip over her or not. Who are these knuckleheads over at ABC's Good Morning America?  They have produced a piece titled 'A promising new drug to control obesity and diabetes is in the works'.  The video shows a graphic of a syringe sticking out of a rat's back.  Yes.  The "scientists" are "testing" the drug on rats- not on the humans who are supposedly going to use it. A few interesting quotes from their story: (paraphrased) "Science is about to help you lose weight without drastic diet or punishing exercise" ~ He's basically saying we're all stupid and lazy.  Please tell me why a healthy, natural diet is drastic.  If one ate healthy, one could get by with exercise that's fun. "Americans dream of a quick fix to lose weight" ~ We're stupid and lazy again.
