- “If you want to protect your cognitive function as you age, stay active, keep mentally challenged, take vitamin B12 supplements, and avoid animal foods.” The list of reasons to be vegan just keeps growing- even though doin’ it for the animals is enough.
- I never understand people who concern themselves with animal rights and were vegan. But this is apparently true of Jesse Eisenberg. “I work with a few animal rights organizations, I’ve been vegetarian for five years and I was vegan for a year. I’m not a vegan right now, but when we were filming I ate all the same food he (Woody Harrelson) ate. Do you just consider one day, “I think I will start killing animals again.”
- October 2 is World Farm Animals Day. “World Farm Animals Day is coordinated by FARM (Farm Animal Rights Movement), a non-profit national advocacy organization promoting plant-based (vegan) diets to save animals, reduce global warming, conserve environmental resources, and improve public health.”
- Another fine example of human intervention creating unnatural chaos. Humans killing animals so that they may kill more animals, so as to make money.
- Here’s a frightening government website- be sure to “browse by commodity”- cattle, goats, etc. For the week ending 9/19/09, about 3,000 animals slaughtered were inspected by the USDA. That’s right. Only 3,000 per week out of 20,000,000 animals per day killed.
