- Northwestern University was nominated Friday as a finalists in Peta2’s “Most Vegetarian-Friendly College” competition. If they win, it would the second time in three years. Personally, I’d like to see the “Most Vegan College” competition take place. That said, I didn’t have any vegetarian or vegan options aside from a wilted salad when I was in college. I applaud Northwestern for making vegan dishes available to their students and faculty.
- Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar and a recipe. In an ironic twist, it’s listed on the same “blurb” page that tells you about Kraft mayo and how to microwave your poultry and meat. Gross, but on the flip side – progress. Vegan Food took the top spot on the blurb list. Like I said, progress.
- “What use would cows, pigs, and chickens have to us if we did not eat them. Might they go extinct? The animals they do not have to worry about extinction are the ones that we grow to eat.” A comment on the article, “Global warming goes….vegan.” It’s an interesting read, if only because of the comments.
