  • The World Health Organization has called for “a close watch on farmers and animals” in the wake of the swine flu death toll passing 6,000.  The virus is constantly evolving, and a variant known as H3N2 has been detected in minks on a “mink farm” in Denmark.  This isn’t shocking considering that science has known for some time that farmed animals are perfect breeding grounds for flu viruses that have been, and are, passed to humans.
  • Sharon McDonough, of Long Island, is suspected of torturing, killing and burying as many as 20 dogs and cats. Needless to say, this woman, if she indeed is guilty, should be incarcerated for the rest of her life for the safety of all beings.
  • As if civilization needed another cruel, exploitative “racing sport.”  Indonesia brings us “bull racing.” The bulls are made stronger and faster with a diet of over 40 eggs a day and 4 months of training 7 days a week.  The video is tagged as a “funny video.”  Despicable.
