Being vegan makes your brain healthy. “If you want to increase your chances of avoiding Alzheimer’s disease, you might want to drop the cheeseburger.” “We used to think of diseases like infections that we then could treat or cure. But now we realize it’s also what’s on your plate or in that pack of cigarettes.”

Someone thinks being vegan is hard work. “However, even with all of the previously listed perks, I would not recommend such an extreme diet. Being vegan is costly and time-consuming, and the hindrance of not being able to eat what you want when you want is often frustrating.”

Elephant numbers continue to decline in Congo reserve. “A lucrative black-market trade in ivory drives the hunt for elephants in the region. In the last 15 years, 75 percent of the Okapi population, or 5,100 animals, have been killed, and in the last five years, the population has declined 37 percent, according to a Wildlife Conservation Society’s (WCS) survey.”

Some see no problem with horsemeat. To them, meat is meat. “Yes I know horses are pretty and friendly and so on. But cows would be, too, if we let them.” “Why should I care that it is a horse? We eat chickens, we eat cuddly rabbits and baby lambs. What’s the difference?”
