Yesterday, Farm Sanctuary and Animal Acres announced an agreement to integrate Animal Acres’ Southern California farm animal shelter, located in Acton, CA, into Farm Sanctuary’s existing national programs, which include farm animal shelters in Watkins Glen, NY, and Orland, CA.

Mountains Animal Sanctuary, Scotland’s largest equine sanctuary and home to over 120 horses, ponies, and donkeys, faces closure due to a lack of funding after the death of it’s primary financial backer (and owner).
