Yes, Siberian Tigers are needlessly dying in China.

First, tigers, as with any animal, shouldn’t be held captive in zoos. Second, don’t try running a zoo without money- you’ll starve the animals to death.

A municipal government in northeastern China has allocated 7 million yuan ($1 million) to improve conditions at a local zoo after the recent deaths of 11 rare Siberian tigers and other animals, state media said Sunday.

To add more horrendousness to this story, protection groups in China say that zoos and “wildlife parks” are breeding tigers to sell their carcasses to the “traditional medicines” market- to make a profit.

Yet another disgusting, immoral thing people are doing to other sentient animals.

There are about 300 Siberian Tigers left in the wild, while more than 5,000 are held captive in china. 

Why no, of course it’s not obvious they’re breeding endangered species to kill and sell for money.
