Google involved in the Ivory trade? “We were really shocked to be honest, to find that one of the world’s richest and successful technology companies with such incredible resources had taken no action to enforce their own policies,” EIA’s Allan Thornton told BBC News, “especially given that elephants are being slaughtered across Africa to provide these trinkets for the public in Japan.”

People shouldn’t own wolves. “The wolf, one of three owned by a Rahway resident, was captured mid-afternoon by animal control officers in Roselle. Police were informed that all three wolves had escaped their confines in the Rahway residence.”

Good advice from Cheboygan. “Spring is the time of rebirth for nature, but that doesn’t mean seemingly lonely little critters need a helping hand.  Young animals look cute and cuddly, often appearing to need help, but offering a helping hand to any of the various fledgling critters popping out this spring will all but ensure these immature animals never see adulthood.”

Roadway improvements in Israel include an ecological corridor for wild animals. “As part of the overall plan to upgrade the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv thoroughfare, the company said it aims to ensure that animals dwelling in the surrounding woods are able to securely pass from once side to the other.”
