Local, organic dairy foods, and organic, imported spices, have high levels of phthalates. “…milk is collected by from cows’ udders through soft, flexible plastic tubing—the very kind that often contains phthalates, which are used to make plastic flexible.  ‘It’s warm milk going through soft plastic, and we know that when phthalates in plastic are heated, there’s leaching,'”

Further affirmation that vegan diet is the most sustainable. “Vegans were also found to be healthier and less at risk of chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart problems, while meat-eaters were the group with the highest risk. Vegans’ emissions were 41.7 percent lower than meat-eaters…”

And in other “vegan news…”

You can keep tabs on her diet and her recipes by visiting The Kind Life. Also, be sure to visit Tia and her sister’s, Tamera, own blog where Tia posts vegan items every now and again.”
