Naledi tells the incredible story of a baby elephant who was born into a rescue camp in the wilderness of Botswana. When she is suddenly orphaned at one-month-old, it is up to the keepers who look after the herd to keep her alive.
This one elephant’s tale remains both intimate and epic, a journey of tragedy and triumph because when her entire species faces extinction, one life means everything.

“The film reveals moments nearly unparalleled in wildlife filmmaking, demonstrating interactions like the first steps of Naledi after being born, being nudged by her several ton mother into successful strides. The story, which filmmakers could not have foreseen beyond capturing the life of a newborn African elephant, becomes one of great significance as Naledi’s mother, Kiti, passes away when the young elephant is only six weeks old. From this point on, the film is a testament to the will and love of Naledi’s caretakers, and the “star”’s own courage to continue to shine.” – Ashley Sullivan, JaneGoodall.com. “One of the most amazing documentaries I’ve ever seen. Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale should result in many more people joining projects to help stop the extinction of African elephants.” – Betty Jo Tucker, AuthorsDen.com. Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale. 22 March 2017
“Wonderful documentary about a baby elephant and how it is important to save wildlife animals. The bonding between the Elephant-Elephant and Elephant-Human are amazing. Obviously, love is nature. A must watch documentary.” – Prasath T., Letterbxd. Reviews of Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale. 24 February 2019
